Privacy policy

Steady is built to need almost nothing from you. There’s no account, no login, no journal, and no advertising trackers. We use Google Analytics only to count visits.
This policy explains what information is involved when you use yoursteady.com (the “Services”). The Services are operated by SLAE Labs LLC, a California limited liability company (“SLAE Labs,” “we,” or “us”).
What we collect
Your exercises
Nothing. Your choice of exercise, your progress, and anything you notice during grounding stay in your browser tab. They are not saved to browser storage and are not sent to any server. Reloading the page starts fresh.
Ordinary server logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare automatically processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile of you. Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy ↗.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. It records things like the page viewed, how you arrived (for example, a search or a link), your general location at the city or country level, your device and browser type, and when you visited. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers to tell whether visits come from the same browser. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy ↗.
We have set Google Analytics up narrowly: Google Signals and advertising features are turned off, analytics data isn’t used for ads or linked to Google advertising products, and we don’t send your exercise choices, progress, or whether you open the support panel. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies.
Feedback you email us
The Feedback link opens your own email app. If you send a message, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and respond to your feedback and improve Steady. Please don’t include sensitive personal or health information.
Adding Steady to your device
If you add Steady to your home screen or dock, your browser stores the app’s name and icon on your device. It does not store exercise history, and we don’t receive any information when you do this.
Cookies and tracking
Steady does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising trackers. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies (named _ga) as described above. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security measures to protect the site from abuse.
Opting out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics does not load for you at all. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on ↗.
Do Not Track. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by not loading Google Analytics.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Information is handled only by the service providers that run the Services (our website host, Google Analytics, and our email provider), or where required by law or to protect the safety of people or the Services.
Links to other sites
Steady links to research, the 988 Lifeline, and other support services. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.
Children
Steady is intended for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can use every part of Steady without giving us any personal information. If you have emailed us, you can ask to see or delete your messages by writing to the address below.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially expands what we collect — for example, if we add accounts or an app — we’ll say so clearly on the site before it takes effect.
